 36th Annual Nags Head Woods 5k

Saturday, May 12 – Kill Devil Hills, NC. Celebrate Mother’s Day Weekend on the beach on the exciting Outer Banks of North Carolina! Honor Mom … enjoy great beaches, nature and history … run a race through The Nature Conservancy’s Nags Head Woods Ecological Preserve … enjoy great local restaurants — Do it all on a beautiful, Spring weekend! St. Philips Church Through the Ages

Saturday, May 26, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. – Brunswick Town, Winnabow, NC.  The big 250th only comes once, and its St. Philips’ turn in 2018. Ramble over to this historic site and celebrate the anniversary of the consecration of the oldest standing church in the Lower Cape Fear. (Brunswick Town/Fort Anderson)


Mother’s Day Music, Fine Wine & Cupcakes

May 13 – South Creek Vineyards & Winery, Nebo, NC.  Spend this special day with your Mom. Tasting room opens at 11 am with wine tasting for a nominal fee; music begins at 1 pm. Enjoy complimentary cupcakes with your purchased wine tasting (while they last!) (NCWine)


Airing of the Quilts

Saturday, May 12 – Franklin, NC. This outdoor quilt show showcases timeless pieces of our Appalachian heritage. See quilts displayed all throughout Historic Downtown Franklin as businesses and homeowners will be hanging quilts from their store fronts and porches that will create an unbelievable burst of spring color throughout the town.  (Discover Franklin)
