22nd Annual NC Aviation Museum & Hall of Fame Fly-In

June 9 – Asheboro. This annual fly in hosts more than 100 unique and classic aircraft from all across the Eastern seaboard. Local food vendors, aviation attractions, hayrides, and aircraft rides available for all ages. (Visit NC) 


Father’s Day Barrel Tasting

June 17 – 2:00 p.m. South Creek Winery, Nebo. Bring Dad for a special day or treat yourself. Have a seat in the barrel room and join the wine­maker and owners for exclusive tastings of unreleased vintages right out of the barrel! Get a flavor sensory lesson, lite bites with wine tasting & tour the vineyard. (NC Wine) 


Heroes Convention 2018

 June 15-17 – Charlotte. This convention has become famous for its comics-first and family-friendly atmosphere, where fans can mingle directly with professionals and exhibitors. Boasting an incredible guest list built mainly on reputation and goodwill, HeroesCon is known nationwide as a “must” on the summer schedule, drawing fans, exhibitors, and creators from every region of the country to the Charlotte Convention Center.

National Sports Media Association Booksignings with Sports Writers

June 24 – 2:00 p.m. Bookmarks, Winston-Salem. Part of the National Sports Media Association’s 2018 Awards Weekend, Bookmarks will host the Association’s Sports Book Festival between 2:00 and 5:00 p.m.  This event will feature Roland Lazenby, author of Showboat: The Life of Kobe Bryant, Andrew Maraniss, author of Strong Inside: Perry Wallace and the Collision of Race and Sports in the South, Mike Stanton, author of Unbeaten: Rocky Marciano’s Fight for Perfection in a Crooked World, Marc Zumoff, author of Total Sportscasting, and Eric Mirlis, author of I Was There.  (Bookmarks)
