We stopped at Round Peak Vineyards for the first time. The drive was an easy one up I-77 with plenty of signage at exit 100 to the Yadkin Valley location.
5th Annual NC Food Truck State Championship
June 15 –16 – Randleman. Food trucks from across North Carolina will converge on Randleman’s Commerce Square for two days of juried competition in gourmet food of all types. Live music will be featured during both nights of the competition. (Visit NC)

June 15-17 – Charlotte. This convention has become famous for its comics-first and family-friendly atmosphere, where fans can mingle directly with professionals and exhibitors. Boasting an incredible guest list built mainly on reputation and goodwill, HeroesCon is known nationwide as a “must” on the summer schedule, drawing fans, exhibitors, and creators from every region of the country to the Charlotte Convention Center.
National Sports Media Association Booksignings with Sports Writers
June 24 – 2:00 p.m. Bookmarks, Winston-Salem. Part of the National Sports Media Association’s 2018 Awards Weekend, Bookmarks will host the Association’s Sports Book Festival between 2:00 and 5:00 p.m. This event will feature Roland Lazenby, author of Showboat: The Life of Kobe Bryant, Andrew Maraniss, author of Strong Inside: Perry Wallace and the Collision of Race and Sports in the South, Mike Stanton, author of Unbeaten: Rocky Marciano’s Fight for Perfection in a Crooked World, Marc Zumoff, author of Total Sportscasting, and Eric Mirlis, author of I Was There.
