Lowcountry Boil – Book Review

Lowcountry Boil

By Susan M Boyer

I began a new series this month – new to me anyway. I’m sure many readers are familiar with Susan M. Boyer and the first in – A Liz Talbot Mystery series. I have a lot of catching up to do as the seventh in this series was released earlier this year.

lowcountry-box-set - boyer Liz Talbot has returned home with the passing of her grandmother. The Talbot’s live off the coast of South Carolina on an island and own substantial land. The land is valuable, and the Talbot family has worked hard to maintain a no-growth policy along with other families on the island. I just love Liz’s mother – she reminded me of June Cleaver.

Liz’s brother, Blake is the local chief police, and he has deemed his grandmother’s death as murder. The story is a little complicated, and there are many players, including Liz’s ex-husband. So keep up and enjoy as Liz takes her Kate Spade purse and Sig along on an adventure of mayhem and murder.

I look forward to reading the rest of this series.
